What To Expect

Whether it results from an accident, an illness or an unfortunate event, the consequences of loosing a limb have a tremendous impact on your life.  This does not mean that you will have to stop living the life that you want, it means that you will have to make adjustments and find the right tools that will help you meet your physical needs, achieve your goals, aspirations and dreams.  At M. Quirantes Orthopedics Appliances, INC., that is our promise to you!

What we want you to expect is, that we are devoted to making a positive impact in your life; to giving you hope and to showing you that you can continue living life to the fullest.

Upper Extremity

Upper Extremity prosthetics are devices designed to replace both the function and the appearance of a missing limb.  There are several prosthetic options for upper extremity and the selection is based on a range of important factors to be considered.  Those factors include, the condition of the residual limb, the patient’s goals and aspirations, the desired appearance of the prosthesis and the type of lifestyle including activity level or work-related requirements.

Among the upper extremity prosthetics we offer are body-powered limbs, myoelectric limbs, partial hand prostheses, activity-specific prostheses and other custom devices as needed.

At Quirantes Orthopedics we feel committed first and foremost to learning about our patient’s desires and lifestyles in order to provide them with the options that will fit their expectations and needs. Our philosophy is to provide the options and to correctly inform our patients about the different prosthetic benefits, as well as to assist them in the selection process to ensure they obtain the device that is more appropriate to continue their lifestyles and to be as comfortable and satisfied as they can be.

Lower Extremity

Lower Extremity prosthetics are artificially replaced limbs located at the hip level or lower.  The two main categories for lower extremity include trans-tibial and trans-femoral and with today’s technological advances devices have been designed to restore mobility and to replace the function and appearance of the missing limb.

At Quirantes Orthopedics we know that even though each of our patients have individual needs they also share a common desire, they need to rely on their prosthesis at all times and for the rest of their lives.  As a result, our expert staff remains devoted to providing the best possible solutions that meet both the highest standards in safety and in comfort and that they still meet the individual needs and goals of each of our patients.

Among our lower extremity options we offer Microprocessor knees, hips and ankles, Vacuum assisted socked design and Sports prostheses among others.

Our team’s desire and goal is to offer products and services of the highest quality and to help our patients increase and retain their physical independence through our expertise and ongoing support.
